Job summary

MSS Security in Ballarat is seeking a Casual Gatehouse Security Officer to join our team. You will manage site access, greet visitors, and maintain accurate records to support a safe and secure site operation.

The role requires flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends. You will provide professional gatehouse and reception services, control entry of personnel, vehicles, and assets, and conduct routine safety checks of the gatehouse area.

Qualifications

• Full Australian Working Rights.
• Valid Victorian Security License.
• Valid Drivers License.
• Ability to work a 24/7 rotational roster.
• Prior security experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional gatehouse and reception services by greeting visitors and recording visitor details.
• Manage site access by checking gate passes and controlling personnel, vehicle, and asset entry.
• Complete accurate data entry and maintain visitor, vehicle, and contractor records.
• Support the gatehouse operations with keys, site forms, after-hours directions, and routine safety inspections.

• Support the safe and secure operation of the gatehouse by issuing keys and site forms, providing after-hours directions, and conducting routine safety inspections of the gatehouse and surrounding areas.

Requirements:

• Valid First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain)
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to work a 24/7 rotational roster
• Prior security experience required.
