Amentum is seeking a Security Monitor for a Temporary Duty (TDY) assignment in Australia. The role is 6 months with possible mutual extensions up to 12 months, with meals and accommodation provided while deployed at the customer site.

The Security Monitor - TDYis a critical role for maintainingthe security posture of restricted areas to include controlled and unclassified areas, ancillary buildings, and personnel movements and safety. The position reports directly to the Security Monitor Supervisor (SMS).
This positionis responsible forproviding line of site monitoring of uncleared personnel/visitors to site ormonitoringper the projects security concept of operations (CONOPs) to ensure sensitive information and infrastructure are safeguarded. In addition, SMs will ensure the movements of uncleared personnel are restricted to designated areas and tasksrequiredfor theparticular activityassigned to themin accordance withsite security and safety protocols.
Day shift – 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
Maintain thorough knowledge of SM Project CONOPs and site regulations, communicating security processes professionally
Control uncleared personnel access, preventing unauthorized access to sensitive materials or areas, and preventing theft.
Monitor and communicate effectively on the site's hand-held radio system.
Ensure that un-cleared personnel/visitors do not bring or use electronic equipment on the facility withoutappropriate authorizationfrom the Joint Security Staff.
Ensure that un-cleared personnel/visitors are aware of and follow relevant evacuation lockdown and security procedures and processes.
Actively prevent the removal or theft of items belonging to the facility
Accurately document security incidents, infractions, and self-reports.
Work in extreme weather with requirements for prolonged standing, walking, and climbing.
Provide support to custodial, food services, or trades as directed by security management.
Uphold site health and safety compliance.
Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
The ability to work in inclement weather, including, near 0c or over 40c
The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand.
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical equipment; high, precarious places; and outside weather conditions to maintain visibility of uncleared personnel and activity.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud due to construction, thus appropriate PPE will be issued and required to be worn at all times when performing relevant activities.

It is a condition of employment at JDFPG that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role. The employee will require a minimum of a SECRET (U.S.) clearance.
Year 12 completion
Previous Security Experience preferred, to include experience with hand-held radio communications operations and usage protocol.
