Job summary

Baidam Solutions is seeking an experienced Security Engineer with strong CrowdStrike expertise to support our Professional Services and Managed Security capabilities in a hybrid Australia-wide context.

The role focuses on deploying and optimising CrowdStrike Falcon solutions, while aligning with the CTO and SOC to operationalise managed services. You will be a technical SME driving detections, integrations and automation for customer engagements.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing and supporting CrowdStrike Falcon platform.
• Experience with Falcon Insight XDR / Falcon Next-Gen SIEM.
• Experience delivering cybersecurity Professional Services engagements.
• Experience onboarding data sources into SIEM.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CrowdStrike Professional Services engagements across customer environments.
• Design, deploy, configure and optimise CrowdStrike Falcon solutions, including endpoint, XDR and Next‑Gen SIEM capabilities.
• Support customer onboarding, implementation and migration activities across the Falcon platform.
• Onboard and integrate customer data sources and security technologies into Falcon Next‑Gen SIEM.
• Develop and tune queries, detections, correlation rules, dashboards and customer‑specific security use cases.
• Build and maintain Falcon Fusion SOAR workflows and automation.
• Integrate CrowdStrike with identity, cloud, network, vulnerability and other security technologies.
• Conduct platform health checks, technical reviews and optimisation activities.
• Troubleshoot sensor, telemetry, ingestion, API, connector and platform issues.
• Produce implementation documentation, configuration guides and technical handover material, and provide clear technical recommendations to customers.

About the Role

Baidam Solutions is seeking an experienced Security Engineer with strong CrowdStrike expertise to support our growing Professional Services and Managed Security capabilities.

This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on delivering customer engagements across the CrowdStrike platform, while also working closely with the CTO and SOC to provide technical input into how CrowdStrike capabilities can be operationalised within Baidam's managed services. The role will act as a key technical SME on what the technology can do, how it should be configured and how it can be effectively consumed by the SOC.

Key Responsibilities

Professional Services

• Deliver CrowdStrike Professional Services engagements across customer environments.


• Design, deploy, configure and optimise CrowdStrike Falcon solutions, including endpoint, XDR and Next‑Gen SIEM capabilities.


• Support customer onboarding, implementation and migration activities across the Falcon platform.

Managed Services Technical Enablement

• Provide technical input to the CTO and SOC leadership on CrowdStrike capabilities, limitations and practical implementation options.


• Assist with proof‑of‑concepts and technical validation of new CrowdStrike capabilities.


• Engineer and validate the technical components required to support approved managed security services, including detections, integrations, automation and dashboards.


• Assist with technical onboarding and validation of customers transitioning into managed services.


• Develop runbooks, investigation guidance and knowledge‑transfer material for SOC analysts.


• Provide technical support for complex CrowdStrike‑related platform issues and investigations.

What We're Looking For

Skills and Experience

• Strong hands‑on experience implementing, configuring and supporting the CrowdStrike Falcon platform.


• Strong experience with Falcon Insight XDR / EDR and CrowdStrike Falcon Next‑Gen SIEM.


• Experience delivering or supporting cybersecurity Professional Services engagements.


• Experience onboarding customers, data sources and security technologies into SIEM platforms.


• Experience developing and tuning security detections, correlation rules and security use cases.


• Experience with SOAR and security automation.


• Strong understanding of security operations and how technology is consumed within a SOC.


• Previous experience within an MSSP, cybersecurity consultancy or Professional Services environment.


• Strong troubleshooting capability across complex enterprise security environments.


• Strong customer‑facing communication and technical documentation skills.

Technical Knowledge

• CrowdStrike Falcon Platform, Falcon Insight XDR and Falcon Next‑Gen SIEM.


• CrowdStrike Query Language / LogScale and Falcon Fusion SOAR.


• Falcon Identity Security, Falcon Cloud Security and Real Time Response.


• CrowdStrike APIs and third‑party integrations.


• Detection engineering, threat hunting and advanced investigation.


• SIEM data onboarding, parsing and optimisation.


• Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, Azure, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID experience is highly regarded.


• PowerShell, Python or similar scripting capability is desirable.

Desirable Certifications

• Relevant CrowdStrike Next‑Gen SIEM certifications.


• Microsoft SC-200 or AZ-500.


• Relevant GIAC, CompTIA or other security engineering certifications.

Clearance

• Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance may be required depending on customer engagements.
