Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Security Customer Engineer to help grow our cybersecurity business by building trusted relationships with customers and guiding secure, scalable cloud deployments. You will work with security leaders and cloud architects to define architectures, demonstrate product integrations, and lead technical discussions that influence deployment topologies and security postures.

You will leverage your experience in network security, threat detection, and IAM to advise customers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience in a technical sales engineering role in security or cloud native environments.
• Experience in cybersecurity (e.g., network security, SoC, threat detection, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, or IAM).

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify business opportunities and resolve technical blockers with customers.
• Demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer environments.
• Recommend integration strategies and architectures for Google Cloud deployments.
• Share security experience to support customer relationships and conduct product/solution briefings.
• Support customer-facing presentations and workshops as a cybersecurity subject matter expert.

Preferred qualifications:

• Certification in the Cloud or Security industry.
• Experience in building and managing AI threat detection and security analytics solutions on Cloud.
• Experience developing programs/scripts in Python, Java, C++.
• Experience in architecture and developing software for scalable, distributed systems.
• Knowledge of public cloud platforms and technical concepts such as Security, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and related industry topics.
• Ability to lead architecture discussions and influence key decision makers around deployment topologies, scaling, performance and sizing.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
• Work directly with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments.
• Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to complete solutions using best practices on Google Cloud.
• Share security experience to support the technical relationship with customers, including product and solution briefings and proof-of-concept work, partnering with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer engagement with Google Cloud.
• Support customer-facing presentations and conduct workshops to share the experience and be a subject matter expert on cyber security.
