Qualifications

• Experience improving processes, systems, or products to enhance performance.
• Ability to manage small projects within area of responsibility.
• Familiarity with lifecycle management systems and engineering management systems.
• Ability to assign part and serial numbers and manage baselines.
• Knowledge of handling Government Furnished Information and classified data.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance in the development and maintenance of the configuration management system and tools.
• Identify configuration items and define the systems equipment's design architecture in the Configuration Status Accounting System.
• Identify the document sets that define each configuration item and baseline and record these in the Configuration Status Accounting System.
• Verify design document releases and changes for completeness, proper authorisation, and classification.
• Act as releasing authority for baselined design documents.
• Record As-Built configuration data in the Configuration Status Accounting System.
• Act as approval authority for configuration management deliverables.
• Support the change control process as secretary of applicable Change Boards by coordinating issues for review, commenting on change, and producing the minutes of such meetings.
• Process change control documents, deviations, and waivers for review and approval including: Registration in the Configuration Status Accounting System; Filing of relevant documentation; and, Dispatch of draft and formal change control documents to the customer for either technical concurrence or approval.
• Update change and document records in the Configuration Status Accounting System to reflect Change Board decisions.
• Generate Modification Incorporation Certificates to direct the implementation of approved changes.
• Provide configuration management (CM) support to product development teams and other functions.
• Provide support for product audits and reviews of software and hardware configuration items.
