Job summary

Macquarie Group seeks a Security Architect to defend its retail banking and financial services platforms. You will collaborate with internal and external teams to define secure architectures for business initiatives, with hands-on guidance on cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration.

The role requires 10+ years in technical design and 7+ years in security within large enterprises, experience with SABSA, NIST 800-53, MITRE ATT&CK, and a proactive, Agile mindset.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in technical design and architecture roles and 7+ years security experience in large enterprises.
• Experience configuring, operating, designing and architecting security solutions for business and technology initiatives.
• Familiarity with formal security architecture aspects, including logical and physical security architecture/design.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and methodologies such as SABSA, NIST 800-53, MITRE ATT&CK/D3FEND, threat modelling.
• Experience with public cloud (AWS and/or GCP), containers, Kubernetes and related technologies.
• Experience with security engineering, API security, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, automation, and application development.
• Familiarity with Agile environments.
• Understanding vendor technologies and roadmaps and awareness of IT industry trends.

• Define security architectures for business initiatives and projects.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to provide security advice.
• Work with cloud, containers and automation tools to drive secure evolution.
• Review security capabilities and provide uplift recommendations.
