Job summary

Macquarie Bank Limited is seeking a Security Architect to define secure architectures for business initiatives and collaborate with delivery teams to drive secure solutions across cloud, containers and automation. You will review security capabilities and recommend uplift strategies to strengthen the organization.

The role requires 10+ years in technical design and 7+ years in security within large enterprises, with strong experience in SABSA, NIST 800-53 and MITRE ATT&CK.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in technical design and architecture roles.
• 7+ years security experience in large enterprises.
• Experience configuring, operating, designing and architecting security solutions for business and technology initiatives.
• Familiarity with SABSA, NIST 800-53, Open FAIR, MITRE ATT&CK/D3FEND, threat modelling or related methodologies.
• Experience with public cloud (AWS and/or GCP), containers, Kubernetes.
• Experience with security engineering, API security, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, automation and application development.
• Familiarity with Agile environments.
• Understanding vendor technologies and roadmaps and staying current with IT trends.

In this role as a Security Architect, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to provide security advice and define security architectures for business initiatives and projects. Partnering with technical delivery teams, you will work with technologies including but not limited to cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), container orchestration and automation tools and help drive the secure evolution of the organisation. You will also review Macquarie’s security capabilities and provide recommendations to uplift our security capability landscape.

• Current or previous experience in configuring, operating, designing and architecting security solutions for business and technology initiatives
• Familiarity and experience in formal security architecture aspects, including logical and physical security architecture/design
• Familiarity with SABSA, NIST 800-53, Open FAIR, MITRE ATT&CK/D3FEND, threat modelling and related methodologies or frameworks
• Demonstrable experience working with public cloud (AWS and/or GCP), containers, Kubernetes and related technologies
• Experience with security engineering, API security, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, automation, and application development valuable
• Familiarity working within an Agile environment
• Sound understanding of vendor technologies and roadmaps, and remains current with key IT industry themes and emerging trends.
