Job summary

IAG Defence & National Security in Australia is seeking an experienced System Administrator to support critical ICT environments in a secure setting. The role focuses on Linux and Windows administration, incident response, and ensuring available, well-documented systems within a defence context.

The ideal candidate holds an NV1 security clearance and has hands-on experience with Red Hat Linux and Microsoft Windows, network infrastructure, and secure ICT operations.

Qualifications

• Current NV1 Security Clearance.
• Experience administering Red Hat Linux and Microsoft Windows environments.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, system integration and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Understanding of Information Assurance, cyber security principles and secure ICT operations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 system administration support across Linux and Windows environments.
• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software and network infrastructure.
• Support systems and ensure the ongoing availability and performance of critical ICT services.
• Perform system monitoring, fault diagnosis, performance tuning and recovery activities.
• Maintain system documentation, configurations and software deployments.
