Job summary

Chandler Macleod Group is seeking an experienced Project Officer to support delivery of critical programs within a secure Federal Government environment. Located in Canberra, the onsite PMO role focuses on planning, governance, reporting and budget monitoring across complex initiatives.

You will coordinate activities, prepare briefs, maintain records and engage stakeholders, contributing to risk and change management and quality assurance throughout the program lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting projects, programs or PMO functions within a structured delivery environment.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, frameworks and tools.
• Experience coordinating project planning, scheduling, tracking and reporting activities.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience preparing project documentation, reports, briefings and governance artefacts.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Experience supporting project governance forums, project control boards or assurance activities.
• Ability to analyse information and provide practical recommendations to support project delivery.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative project team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of projects and programs through effective project coordination and administrative support.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting activities.
• Support project testing, evaluation and acceptance activities.
• Apply established project management methodologies, tools and processes across administrative and technical project activities.
• Research, prepare and coordinate briefs, reports, submissions and correspondence.
• Assist with committee papers, governance documentation and project reporting requirements.
• Maintain project records, schedules, registers and delivery documentation.
• Support project governance activities, meetings and stakeholder engagement.
• Assist with project risk, issue and change management processes.
• Maintain project financial records and support budget monitoring activities.
• Contribute to quality assurance and project control activities across the program environment.
