Good Shepherd Lutheran College – Noosaville QLD

A rare opportunity has arisen to join our Languages faculty as a teacher of Japanese for the 2027 school year. This is a contract position to cover 12 months of leave for one of our current teachers. The contract can be full-time or part-time, depending on the preference of the successful candidate.

Applications are encouraged from teachers with experience in delivering the QCE and ACARA syllabus for Japanese. The position is due to commence on the 20th of January through until the end of the school year.

Good Shepherd is a co-educational Prep to Year 12 Lutheran College that serves the families of the breathtakingly beautiful Noosa district on the Sunshine Coast. Centrally located 130kms from the Brisbane CBD, Good Shepherd Lutheran College is situated on a 9.5hectare campus. The College has a total enrolment of approximately1100 students. Our College is part of the ministry of The Lutheran Church in Queensland and has strong ties to the Noosa Lutheran Parish. Commitment to Christian Education and support of college ethos.

Demonstrated subject specific expertise and teaching experience in Years 6-12.

An understanding of the particular needs of students and demonstrated skillsin meeting these needs in the context of the classroom and in pastoral care.

Demonstrated skills in and understanding of the development and implementation of units of work,including the use of documented planning and assessment procedures to ensure high standards of learning occur.

Demonstrated personal and interpersonal skills that strengthen effectivepartnerships with parents and staff.
