Brisbane Catholic Education is seeking a passionate Secondary Teacher (HPE and Technologies) for McAuley College, Beaudesert. The role involves inspiring students across HPE and Technologies with a focus on wellbeing, practical principles, and curriculum alignment.

The position may also consider applicants who can contribute to Humanities and support our inclusive, faith-based educational environment within a rural community.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering HPE and Technologies in a secondary setting.
• Knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and NSW/QLD alignment where applicable.

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

• Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices
• Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community
• Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture
• Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
• Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development
• Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.

• Creating a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum
