• Secondary Science Teacher – 0.6 FTE(Part-time 3 Days)

FTE Annual Salary Range from $80,751 – $119,786

Suitable candidates are required to hold:

• A current VIT registration (or equivalent)
• Relevant teaching qualifications
• Full working rights in Australia
• Teaching staff at SCC are required to:

1. Use diverse and effective teaching strategies to deliver the curriculum.
2. Address diverse learner needs in curriculum design by collaborating with support staff.
3. Integrate technology to enhance learning.
4. Dedicate time to lesson planning and organisation whilst ensuring the curriculum is relevant for your subjects and year levels per the state and national course requirements.
5. Assess and provide meaningful feedback on student progress about their performance, achievements, attitude or behaviour where required and at Parent Teacher Interviews
6. Write academic reports according to guidelines.
7. Develop and assess learning materials and recommend implementation to subject coordinators.
8. Support and engage in co-curricular programs as needed.
9. Manage equipment, materials, and first aid needs according to OHS guidelines.
10. Exercising duty of care through effective, professional supervision
11. Maintain accurate student attendance records.
12. Maintain Professional Development
13. Maintain appropriate confidentiality
14. Attend scheduled subject and staff meetings.
15. Maintain a manner of life that reflects an adherence to and support for the beliefs, teachings, values, and attitudes of Christianity and the Vision and Mission Statement of the College
