Job summary

Tintern Grammar seeks a dedicated Secondary Science Teacher to deliver an engaging curriculum across Years 7–10 at our Melbourne campus. You will bring strong science pedagogy, content knowledge, and the ability to differentiate learning for diverse students.

Experience with VCE Physics or Chemistry is advantageous; current VIT registration is essential. This ongoing role commences Term 1, 2027 and is offered at 0.8 FTE or full-time (1.0 FTE).

Qualifications

Tintern Grammar seeks to appoint a Secondary Science Teacher. You will be an enthusiastic and capable educator with demonstrated experience teaching Science across Years 7–10. The ability to also teach Years 7–10 Mathematics, VCE Physics or Chemistry would be an advantage.

About the Role

As a key member of our Science Department, you will deliver a vibrant and engaging Science curriculum to students across Years 7–10 and possess strong knowledge of relevant content and pedagogy. Experience teaching at VCE level is highly desirable.

You will use a range of teaching strategies that cater to the needs of a diverse student group and demonstrate a willingness to differentiate the curriculum to support individual student needs. You will bring your passion for Science to the School and, above all, demonstrate a genuine commitment to engaging, connecting with and caring for our students.

This is an ongoing position commencing Term 1, 2027, available at either 0.8 FTE or full-time (1.0 FTE).
