About the Role

As a Secondary Maths Teacher at ICOM, you will help students understand maths beyond the textbook.

Alongside preparing students for their assessments and examinations, you will help them develop problem solving skills, critical thinking and an informed understanding of general mathematics.

We are looking for a teacher who:

Has strong knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum and a passion for teaching mathematical concepts and skills.

Makes mathematical ideas accessible and engaging through effective teaching strategies and practical problem-solving activities.

Encourages students to analyse information, interpret data, develop logical reasoning and think critically.

Can explicitly teach the skills, strategies and mathematical knowledge required for VCE assessment and examinations.

Builds positive relationships with students while maintaining high expectations for learning, achievement and progress.

Works collaboratively with colleagues and contributes positively to the wider College community.

Qualifications & Requirements

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Secondary Education or equivalent
