Enerven Energy Infrastructure Pty is seeking a Senior Secondary Engineer to develop HV/UHV substation and renewables secondary designs, including SLDs and schematics, while collaborating with protection, SCADA and project teams in Sydney.
The role requires an Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering degree, experience with secondary design, and strong estimating and collaboration skills. On-site work at Macquarie Park supports safety and efficient project delivery.
As a Secondary Engineer at Enerven, you'll deliver secondary designs for HV and UHV substations and renewable energy projects across a national portfolio. The work spans single line diagrams, schematics, general arrangements, cable schedules and load calculations, from early concept and bid stages through to commissioning. Reporting to the Protection and Secondary Engineering Lead, you'll also review the work of other secondary engineers and provide technical guidance to less experienced members of the team. You'll work closely with designers, drafters, project teams and business development, making decisions that balance technical, commercial and contractual requirements. It's a role with real technical depth and the scope to influence how the discipline works, not just what it produces. This role is based in Sydney, working from our Macquarie Park office.
You're a qualified engineer with detailed knowledge of secondary design across substations and renewable energy projects, and a good working understanding of protection schemes and power engineering fundamentals. You've worked on HV or UHV transmission projects and can produce and review secondary deliverables with confidence. You plan and prioritise your own work well, estimate engineering effort realistically, and communicate clearly with engineers, drafters and non-technical stakeholders. You're also someone who looks for better ways of doing things and are happy to share your knowledge and experience with other members of the team.
When you join Enerven, you are working for a team guided by its core values of dependability, proactiveness and collaboration.
