Job summary

Suncoast Christian College is seeking an experienced 1.0FTE Secondary Design Technologies Teacher to lead Design Technologies programs for years 7–12. The role requires strong practical skills in Industrial Technology and engineering processes, with a focus on safe, hands‑on learning.

The successful applicant will align learning with the Australian Curriculum/QCAA syllabuses, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in the college’s faith‑based learning community.

Qualifications

• Relevant teaching qualifications and current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration.
• Demonstrated experience teaching Secondary Design Technologies.
• Strong practical workshop and classroom management skills.
• Knowledge of Australian Curriculum and/or QCAA Design Technologies syllabuses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Design Technologies programs across years 7–12.
• Safely manage workshops, tools, equipment and resources in line with WHS requirements.
• Assess and report student progress using varied assessment tools.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and contribute to planning.
