Job summary

JCA Metal Roofing is seeking a 2nd/3rd Year Roof Plumbing Apprentice to join our team and gain hands-on experience on residential and commercial metal roofing projects. You will work with experienced roof plumbers from start to finish, building practical skills in one-on-one guidance and on-site training.

Ideal candidates are completing their 2nd or 3rd year, have metal roofing experience, hold a White Card and a valid driving licence, and are comfortable with heights and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Currently completing your 2nd or 3rd Year Roof Plumbing Apprenticeship
• Have existing practical metal roofing experience
• Have a current driver's licence
• Sound understanding of basic roof plumbing and comfortable with the fundamentals of working on a metal roofing site
• Consistent work across the Central Coast, Newcastle & Hunter Region

Responsibilities

• New roofs and re-roofing projects
• Flashings and cappings
• Gutters, downpipes and rainwater goods
• Measuring, setting out and preparing roofing materials
• Safe working at heights
• Reading plans and understanding roofing systems
• Maintaining clean, organised and safe worksites
• Working alongside qualified roof plumbers on real projects from start to finish

Second / Third Year Apprentice Roof Plumber Wanted

You'll gain practical experience across residential and commercial metal roofing projects as a 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Roof Plumber with JCA Metal Roofing. You'll work alongside experienced roof plumbers on real projects from start to finish, developing serious roofing skills and becoming a quality tradesperson. For the right apprentice, you'll have the opportunity for one-on-one guidance and hands‑on development with experienced roof plumbers, helping you strengthen your existing skills, learn better techniques and progressively take on more responsibility.

About you

Currently completing your 2nd or 3rd Year Roof Plumbing Apprenticeship

Have existing practical metal roofing experience

Hold a current White Card

Comfortable and competent working at heights

Physically capable of undertaking roofing work

Work safely and follow site procedures

Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn

Work well as part of a team
