Job summary

Cairns Early Learning in Parramatta Park, QLD, invites applications for a Second Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) in a part-time role. You will support planning, delivery and evaluation of a high-quality program, guided by EYLF, collaborating with Lead ECT and educators to create a nurturing learning environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or are currently studying, with experience in early childhood care and a passion for child development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood/Early Years 0–5) or working towards
• Experience in early childhood education and care
• Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
• Strong understanding of play-based learning and child development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency

Responsibilities

• Support planning, implementation and evaluation of EYLF-aligned programs
• Collaborate with Lead ECT and educator team to provide high-quality learning experiences
• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment for children
• Build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues
• Observe and document children's learning and development
• Support individual learning needs and interests
• Ensure health, safety and wellbeing at all times
• Contribute to compliance with legislation, regulations and policies
• Participate in team meetings and professional development
• Work positively and collaboratively as part of the team
