Job summary

Australia Post is seeking seasonal Forklift Drivers for Albion Park, NSW, to support operations from October until around Christmas. Shifts include 4:00am-9:00am, 2:00pm-7:00pm, 6:00pm-11:00pm and 10:00pm-3:00am.

You’ll operate forklifts, load and unload mail, and sort parcels with scanners as part of a busy processing team. You must hold a valid LF Forklift License, be able to lift up to 16 kg regularly, and stay safety‑minded while using conveyors and pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to load/unload mail from bags, trays, containers and cages.
• Sort parcels manually or with scanners on processing lines.
• Work with conveyors and other equipment to move mail efficiently.
• Assist with loading/unloading from trucks and vans.

Seasonal team members generally commence across October and November and depending on parcel volume, assisting us to deliver until around Christmas.

• 4:00am - 9:00am
• 2:00pm - 7:00pm
• 6:00pm - 11:00pm
• 10:00pm - 3:00am

You’ll be paid

• Seasonal Forklift Drivers (21 years or older) are paid $35.83 per hour, including casual loading, plus 12% superannuation
• Junior rates apply to applicants under 21 years old
• Some roles may also attract penalty rates for overtime, evening, and weekend work
• 12% superannuation rate

You’ll be

• Using a Forklift, loading and unloading mail from mail bags, trays, containers and metal cages (Unit Loading Devices)
• Sorting parcels and mail (manually or machine-assisted) with the use of scanners
• Working across sophisticated processing equipment and lines
• Operating and using load shifting equipment such as hand pallet devices and stackers whilst cooperating with operations staff to get the mail into the facility

About you

• You hold a valid LF Forklift License
• You enjoy a physical role, can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly, have a great memory and attention to detail
• You're safety conscious and able to safely operate equipment such as conveyors, loading/lifting devices including pallet jacks to load and unload parcels from trucks and vans
• You enjoy a fast paced environment where compliance checks are required
• You’re comfortable handling parcels that may contain meat and/or alcohol products
