Job summary

Belgravia Health & Leisure Group Pty Ltd is seeking an outstanding Centre Manager to lead the Heathcote Swimming Pool team for a 6-month seasonal period (Nov–Apr). You will oversee operations, finances and programs, and drive an exceptional customer experience in a community-focused setting.

You’ll galvanise a high-performance team, engage with stakeholders and local Council, and align plans with budget targets while promoting safety and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing or leading in a similar leisure or aquatic facility.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence and negotiate.
• Solid knowledge of health and safety legislation applicable to pools and leisure facilities.
• Experience in planning and executing operational, financial and people plans.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People clearance.
• Legal right to work in Australia.
• Pool Lifeguard or capability to complete training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and wellbeing of visitors and staff through policy and procedure oversight.
• Coach and develop leaders to meet KPIs via performance planning and development plans.
• Lead a high-performance, community-minded culture through visible leadership and engagement.
• Achieve budgeted performance targets.
• Maintain strong relationships with local Council.
• Deliver a high-value customer service proposition tailored to the client base.
• Recruit energetic, diverse staff to support the Centre’s vision.
• Identify staff and create succession plans for continuity.
• Maintain facilities to contract standard requirements.
