As our Paid Search Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and optimising paid search campaigns to drive performance and maximise ROI. You will develop and execute strategies across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and SA360, ensuring best practices are applied to keyword targeting, ad copy, bidding strategies, and audience segmentation. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, hands-on experience with search platforms, and a deep understanding of consumer search behaviour to enhance digital performance and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Search Strategy Development: Develop and execute paid search strategies aligned with business goals, leveraging keyword research, audience insights, and competitive analysis to drive performance.
- Campaign Management: Set up, manage, and optimise PPC campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and other search platforms, focusing on improving CTR, CPC, and conversion rates.
- Performance Monitoring & Analysis: Track, measure, and analyse search campaign performance using Google Analytics, Google Ads reporting, and other analytics tools. Provide actionable insights to improve campaign effectiveness and ROI.
- Budget & Bid Management: Manage daily and monthly budgets, bid strategies, and pacing to ensure optimal resource allocation and maximum return on ad spend (ROAS).
- Keyword & Ad Copy Optimisation: Conduct ongoing keyword research, refine match types, and test ad creatives to enhance relevance, quality score, and overall campaign performance.
- Audience Targeting & Retargeting: Develop and implement audience segmentation strategies, including remarketing lists, customer match, and lookalike audiences, to improve efficiency and engagement.
- Automation & Innovation: Stay updated with the latest search trends, AI-driven bidding strategies, and automation tools to enhance campaign performance and efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, creative teams, and external partners to align search efforts with broader digital marketing initiatives.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure adherence to search advertising policies, industry standards, and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Work Experience Requirements
- 5+ years\' experience in a paid search role, preferably within an agency or in-house performance team.
- Proven experience in managing and optimising Google Ads and Microsoft Ads campaigns, including Search, Performance Max, and Shopping.
- Strong keyword research, bidding strategy, and audience segmentation expertise.
- Ability to analyse performance data from advertising platforms (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads) and web analytics tools (Google Analytics 4) to drive insights and optimisations.
- Hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager and tracking implementation for accurate conversion measurement.
- Experience working with performance-focused or eCommerce clients, with a strong understanding of ROAS, CPA, and LTV.
- Proficiency in A/B testing ad copy and landing pages to improve conversion rates.
- Strong budget and bid strategy management across multiple campaigns.
- Google Ads certified (current certification required).
- Familiarity with feed management for Google Shopping (e.g., Merchant Center, feed optimisation tools) is a plus
Ideal
- Experience with digital tracking, attribution modelling, analytical suites (GMP 360, DoubleClick, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.)
- Experience working with other performance marketing platforms (e.g. Amazon, Taboola, Tableau, Domo, Data Studio)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with client leadership teams and internal stakeholders.
- Passion for staying ahead of search marketing trends, including automation, AI-driven bidding, and evolving ad formats.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including paid social, programmatic, and creative teams, to align search efforts with broader digital marketing objectives.
