Qualifications

• Experience operating enterprise SD-WAN and SASE in large environments.
• Knowledge of secure connectivity platforms including Netskope, Prisma Access, Fortinet FortiSASE.
• Strong incident resolution and problem management skills.
• Experience ITIL and change management processes.
• Experience working with multi-vendor security and cloud networking.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, operate, and support SASE and SD-WAN solutions.
• Manage security policies for SWG, CASB, ZTNA, DLP, and Zero Trust.
• Configure SD-WAN traffic steering, QoS, and failover.
• Administer next-generation firewall policies and threat prevention.
• Troubleshoot Layer 2/3 networks including VLANs, BGP, OSPF, MPLS.
• Support cloud networking connectivity in AWS and Azure.
• Participate in incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Lead changes per ITIL/change management.
• Maintain runbooks and topology diagrams.
• Mentor junior team members and share best practices.

Job description

Support and operate enterprise SD-WAN, SASE, cloud networking, and network security platforms across large-scale environments.

Manage secure connectivity solutions leveraging Netskope, Palo Alto Prisma Access, Fortinet FortiSASE, and multi-vendor SD-WAN technologies.

Troubleshoot complex network incidents, drive operational excellence, and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.

Location: Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, or Perth.

Security Requirement: Due to the secure nature of this role, we strongly encourage applications from Australian Citizens, active security clearance holders, or candidates eligible to obtain security clearance. Candidates with existing security clearance will be highly regarded.

About The Role

We are seeking experienced SD-WAN / SASE Operations Engineers to support and maintain enterprise networking and security environments. This role is responsible for the operational management of SD-WAN, SASE, firewall, cloud networking, and core network infrastructure technologies while ensuring the stability, security, and performance of critical business services.

You will work closely with engineering, architecture, and client teams to resolve incidents, implement changes, optimize network performance, and support ongoing transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, operate, and support SASE solutions including Netskope, Fortinet FortiSASE, and Palo Alto Prisma Access.
• Manage and maintain SWG, CASB, ZTNA, DLP, and Zero Trust security policies.
• Configure and support SD-WAN environments, including traffic steering, application-aware routing, QoS, and SLA-driven failover.
• Administer next-generation firewall policies, NAT, IPS/IDS, SSL inspection, URL filtering, and threat prevention controls.
• Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 network environments including VLANs, STP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and WAN transport technologies.
• Support cloud networking connectivity across AWS and Microsoft Azure environments.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, problem management, and on-call support activities.
• Execute and maintain infrastructure changes in accordance with ITIL and change management processes.
• Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to operational best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Experience / Qualifications

Required Certification (At Least One)

• Netskope Certified Cloud Security Administrator (NCCSA)
• Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
• Fortinet NSE 4 or higher
• Cisco CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Security

Preferred Certifications

• Palo Alto PCCSE
• Fortinet NSE 7 (SD-WAN or Enterprise Firewall)
• AWS Advanced Networking Specialty
• Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700)

Additional Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting large enterprise, regulated, or government environments.
• Exposure to Zero Trust and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) frameworks.
• Experience with automation and scripting using Python, Ansible, or similar technologies.
• Experience integrating cloud networking with on-premises network infrastructure.
• Existing Australian security clearance highly regarded.
