Location: 210 Ashmore Road, Benowa QLD 4217

Work type: Full time, Permanent, 38 hours per week

About The Role

We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Preparation, analysis and testing of specimens and/or assays
  • Performing designated testing procedures as outlined in methods and procedures, ensuring adherence to NPAAC/NATA ISO15189 requirements.
  • Participation in internal and external quality assurance programs.
  • Participation in continuing education.
  • Liaise with internal and/or external stakeholders (referring practitioners) regarding test results or referrals as necessary.
About You

To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:

  • A Bachelor of Science or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in a diagnostic laboratory is desirable.
  • Experienced in handing Histology samples and the Histology workflow.
  • A high level of attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and accountability.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience in staff training is essential.
  • Able to work as part of a collaborative team and contribute to team performance.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance systems and scientific instrumentation and equipment.
  • Awareness of Workplace Health and Safety processes and procedures.
