Job summary

Pembroke School invites an energetic, curious Science Teacher to join our vibrant Science faculty for 2027. This role offers a collaborative, innovative and well-resourced science environment where student engagement, hands-on learning and curiosity-driven exploration are central to the program.

You will inspire Years 7–12 with engaging, conceptually rich science experiences, supported by a dynamic curriculum that encourages inquiry, creativity and scientific thinking.

Qualifications

• Must have relevant tertiary qualifications and teacher registration (or eligibility) in South Australia.
• Current Working with Children Check (South Australia).
• RRHAN-EC training: Masterclass and Fundamentals, including Protective Practices.
• First Aid and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons that engage students and foster scientific thinking.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and wellbeing.
• Assess and report on student progress in line with school policies.
• Contribute to faculty planning, assessment design, and resource sharing.
• Participate in pastoral care and co-curricular activities as appropriate.

About the Role

You will inspire students in Years 7-12 by delivering engaging, challenging and conceptually rich Science learning experiences. Working within a supportive faculty, you will contribute to a dynamic curriculum that encourages inquiry, creativity and scientific thinking.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering curriculum-aligned lessons that engage students and foster scientific thinking.
