Qualifications

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in Social Work or equivalent.
• Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
• Experience providing expert consultation to schools, healthcare providers and families is desirable.
• Experience in planning and implementing programs that foster resilience in children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level social work support to school age students to improve learning outcomes.
• Undertake advanced wellbeing interventions to support students and school programs.
• Coordinate student support services within a multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to student wellbeing policy development and guidance for staff.
• Provide leadership within a multidisciplinary student support team.
• Support teachers in developing educational programs for students with additional needs.
• Offer professional advice on student wellbeing to colleagues and families.
• Collaborate with other student support services team members on complex cases.
