Job summary

The Queensland Government is offering a temporary part-time position for a Workplace Health and Safety Coordinator to support Woogaroo Creek State School in Augustine Heights. You will provide practical health, safety and wellbeing guidance to staff and leadership, and help manage risk, incidents, rehabilitation and return-to-work processes.

Working with school leaders, regional teams and partners, you will monitor WHS data, deliver safety training and help strengthen a positive safety culture

Qualifications

• Provide health, safety and wellbeing advice to staff and school leadership.
• Support risk management, audits, inspections and emergency preparedness.
• Coordinate injury management, rehabilitation and return-to-work processes.
• Monitor WHS data and identify emerging risks and improvement opportunities.
• Deliver safety training, induction and awareness activities.
• Support incident, occupational violence and critical incident responses.
• Provide fire safety advice and ensure HSWMS compliance.
• Prepare reports and recommendations to strengthen safety practices and culture.
