Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) is seeking a part-time School Officer to support St Eugene College Burpengary. You will assist with planning, preparing and delivering teaching programs, monitor student progress, and collaborate with specialists to provide targeted interventions.

The role is term-time, 26.25 hours per week, with a competitive salary and benefits. Eligibility includes working in Australia and a Blue Card.

• Contract date: October, 2026 - End of 2026 school year (Possibility of extension)
• Work hours: 26.25 hours per week across 5 days
• Salary: School Officer Level 3 - $34.17/hr + 12.75% Super (School Salary Scale)
• Status: Term Time Fixed Term | School holidays are unpaid

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

• Assisting with the planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for students including the use technology and learning support activities
• Monitoring the progress of students and identifing learning areas to provide evidence-based intervention strategies
• Improving student learning outcomes by providing support and advice on supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborating with school specialists in organising and assisting with intervention groups to coordinate services
• Documenting observation notes, intervention programs and assist in the collation and preparation of classroom materials.

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

• Strong skills in planning, preparing, and delivering effective teaching programs
• Ability to monitor student progress and apply evidence-based interventions
• Expertise in supporting diverse learning needs to improve student outcomes

• For this position you are not required to be Catholic.

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
