Our vibrant School is seeking an experienced School Nurse to manage the health care of students and attend to specified administrative tasks related to the care and wellbeing of students from the Early Learning Centre (ELC) to Year 12. This will include the maintenance of thorough and accurate health records and documentation.

To be considered for this role candidates must be kind and empathetic in nature, be collegial and able to work independently as the school’s sole nurse. Candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and they will ideally have at least 5 years of nursing experience. They will have a passion for health promotion and be able to build relationships with a broad range of people within the School Community, including students, staff, parents and external health professionals as needed.

They will have highly developed organisational and records management skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.

Applicants must hold the following experience and qualifications:

• current registration with AHPRA and NMBA as Registered Nurse able to practise in NSW
• current CPR and Senior First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
• training in anaphylaxis and asthma management
• 5 years prior nursing experience - ideally in a school setting
• Paediatric nursing experience is desirable
