Job summary

The Australian National University (ANU) Crawford School of Public Policy seeks a Senior Manager 2 (Administration) to shape and deliver strategic and operational leadership across the School’s administrative functions in Canberra. You will oversee finance, HR, executive education, recruitment, marketing and communications, and stakeholder engagement.

The ANU College of Law, Governance and Policy (CLGP) is a progressive and newly established College that brings together four world-leading academic schools dedicated to shaping the future of law, governance, regulation, policy and population health. The ANU Crawford School of Public Policy is one of four Schools within CLGP and one of the world’s leading public policy schools. The Opportunity

As School Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the School’s complex administrative functions and play a central role in shaping, driving and delivering its priorities.

You will lead the School’s work across finance and human resources; executive education; international and national recruitment; marketing and communications; and engagement with government, business and community sector stakeholders. In this capacity, you will provide strategic advice to the Director and direction to other senior staff, while contributing significantly to College and University-level planning.

You will bring extensive experience in senior management within a comparable institution, together with a demonstrated ability to lead large, complex organisational units. You will have a proven record of building, developing and leading high-performing teams, supported by strong people management capability and sound judgement. Success in this strategic and operational leadership role will require excellent interpersonal and communication skills, high-level analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to operate confidently in a complex institutional environment.
