Job summary
St Thomas' School Mareeba invites applications for a Library Assistant. The role focuses on operational and technical library services, including catalogue, circulation, and supporting students and staff with resources.
You will assist with acquisitions, stock takes, displays and collection development, participate in book fairs and school programs. A Working with Children Blue Card and commitment to Catholic Education are required. 30 hours per week in term time, with competitive salary.
Qualifications
- Experience in library operations and customer service.
- Ability to catalogue and process library resources.
- Familiar with inter-library loans when required.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day operation of the school library for students and staff.
- Guide users in library technologies and resources.
- Catalogue, acquire and track library resources and materials.
- Maintain stock takes, records and resource maintenance.
- Create engaging displays and promote library initiatives.
- Assist with collection development and book fairs.
