Applitrack in Middle School, Victoria, is seeking a friendly Food Service Helper to support the school kitchen operations. You will wash dishes, assist in preparing vegetables and salads, and help with desserts and general kitchen tasks.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of food safety (HACCP) and can follow written and oral instructions. The role runs with probationary hours from 9:15 AM to 1:15 PM and supports the cook manager and supervisor.

Qualifications

• Friendly and cooperative attitude toward students, staff and co-workers.
• Working knowledge of the proper methods of preparing and serving food.
• Working knowledge of current sanitization codes, requirements and HACCP methods.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.

Responsabilités

• Washes dishes, pots and pans by hand or machine.
• Cleans, washes, and otherwise prepares vegetables and fruit for cooking.
• Assists in preparation of salads and desserts.
• Sweeps, mops, and cleans kitchen.
• Assumes cooking duties with attention to minimize waste of food and other products.
• Prepares a variety of written reports.
• Assists in stocking inventory and in maintaining inventory records.
• Operates kitchen appliances and other small equipment.
• Acts in the capacity of a line server.
• Acts in the capacity of a grill cook.
• Acts in the capacity of a cashier.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the cook manager or food service supervisor.
