Job summary

St John the Evangelist Catholic High School, Nowra invites applications for the permanent full-time position of Business and Operations Manager. You will work with the Principal and oversee finance, facilities, WHS and day-to-day school operations.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Schools (CEDoW), you will manage budgets, coordinate fees, liaise with auditors, and ensure policies align with CEDoW. Experience in education settings and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications relevant business/management/finance discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School.
• Proven managerial experience in administration, finance and facilities.
• Ability to lead, motivate and work with diverse teams.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the College budget and financial reporting in line with CEDoW.
• Coordinate school fees with leadership and manage collections.
• Liaise with internal/external auditors and the Catholic Education Office.
• Develop and maintain finance procedures aligned with CEDoW policies.
• Support day-to-day school operations with the leadership team.
• Coordinate facilities, grounds, scheduling and operational logistics.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and external partners on operations.
