Job summary

The School of Total Education in Warwick, QLD is seeking a dedicated School Cleaner to join our Operations Team. This part-time, term-time role offers flexible daily hours to suit the right candidate and may include extra deep-clean work during school holidays.

You will follow a cleaning schedule to provide a hygienic, safe environment for students, staff and visitors, with autonomy to prioritise tasks, carry out routine cleaning, and comply with safety practices.

Qualifications

• Must hold Working with Children BlueCard.
• Ability to work unsupervised and follow cleaning schedule.
• Reliable, punctual and able to prioritise hygiene.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 10kg and perform manual handling.
• Knowledge of safe use and storage of cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning tasks as set in the cleaning schedule and prioritise other duties to maintain a clean, hygienic and safe environment.

The School of Total Education – Warwick QLD

The School of Total Education is an independent P-12 school in the rural town of Warwick, South East Queensland. Our School offers a supportive environment for children to learn within a uniquely designed campus both in classroom and building formation as well providing a number of outdoor spaces, grassed areas, vegetable gardens and a sheltered gazebo.

We are currently looking to expand our Operations Team and have a position available for a dedicated School Cleaner to join us

About the role

As our School Cleaner you will have autonomy to carry out cleaning tasks as set in the cleaning schedule and prioritise when other duties are requested to provide a clean, hygienic and safe environment for all students, staff and visitors to the school.

This is a part-time / term time position with flexibility of daily hours to suit the right candidate. Additional hours may be afforded during school holidays to assist with deep cleans and project work.

About you

• Working with Children BlueCard
• The ability to work unsupervised and follow a cleaning schedule
• Be reliable and punctual
• Be able to prioritise hygiene and sanitation and commit to safe work practices
• Be physically capable of safely lifting and carrying items up to 10kg, and perform manual handling tasks that require bending, reaching and walking for extended periods
• Knowledge of safe usage and storage of cleaning chemicals
• Staff well-being and socialisation initiatives
• Two approved paid Discretionary Leave days per year
• A freshly cooked chef prepared meal daily from our school dining room
• Staff discount on school fees
