Job summary

Kinetic invites applications for a casual School Bus Driver at the Garbutt depot in Townsville. The role offers 20–25 hours per week across split shifts with a base rate of $43.80 per hour, plus penalties where applicable. Training is provided to ensure safe driving and excellent passenger service.

Join a team that supports a safe journey for all passengers and operates seven days a week across the local Townsville region. Availability Monday–Friday is preferred, with School Holidays off.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and enjoy working with the public.
• A current MR (Medium Rigid) driving license or above.
• Willing and able to obtain a QLD Driver Authorisation (DA).
• Be able to pass a pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
• Australian Work Rights.

Responsibilities

• Drive school buses with safety as priority.
• Deliver high levels of customer service and assist with ticket sales.
• Operate within the Townsville region and comply with rosters and safety standards.

We are seeking reliable and safety-conscious School Bus Drivers to join our team at our Garbutt Depot - enjoy a rewarding role with great work-life balance and earn $43.80 per hour.

This role offers approximately 20-25 hours per week across split shifts.

• Position:Casual - School Bus Driver
• Rate: $43.80 per hour (casual rate), plus penalties where applicable.
• Location: Garbutt, Townsville
• Training:You will be trained to achieve high standards in all parts of your work including safe driving practices.
• Roster: We operate across 7 days throughout the local Townsville region and we are looking for our newest team member to have availability Monday - Friday (Split Shift) 20-25hrs per week with School Holidays Off.

With a strong focus on customer service and providing a safe journey for our passengers, our bus drivers are fully trained to play a vital part in all facets of customer service, ticket sales and a range of bus services.
