Job summary

CDC Canberra is hiring multiple Casual School Bus Attendants to support the SST team at Fyshwick Depot. You will help transport students with additional needs safely, working with a Bus Driver and enjoying school terms, weekends and holidays off, plus on‑the‑job training.

The role suits those with childcare, education or disability support backgrounds or those seeking flexible, meaningful work. A WWVP check and a First Aid/CPR certificate are preferred, with CDC covering training costs.

Qualifications

• Experience in childcare, education or disabilities would be looked upon favourably but not essential.
• ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration, or ability to obtain.
• Current First Aid/CPR certificate, or willingness to obtain (paid by CDC).
• A driver's licence or reliable transport to get to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the loading, unloading and transiting of passengers with disabilities and special needs
• Maintaining and cleaning buses, bus equipment and child seat restraint equipment
• Exhibiting a willingness to participate in and promote equality and diversity
