Catholic Education Services in Cairns is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide school-based therapy, supporting diverse learners and building capacity within schools. The role involves collaborative planning with students, families, teachers and external partners, and frequent on-site visits to assess and implement programs that enable access to the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Current registration with the Australian Occupational Therapy Board (AHPRA).
• Experience in disability settings with children and families.
• Ability to work in a consultative school setting and train staff.

Responsabilités

• Provide therapy services to students in schools and develop capacity within schools.
• Work within a consultative framework with students, parents, teachers, learning support staff, therapists and external agencies.
• Strengthen students' abilities to access the curriculum and support staff in program delivery and management.
• Frequent and regular school visits are a key component of the role.
