Job summary

WPC Group in Clyde, NSW is seeking a School-Based Automotive Body Repair (Panel Beating) Apprentice who will finish schooling while starting a hands-on career, learning to assess vehicle damage and finish panels on luxury cars under supervision.

The apprenticeship begins school-based with a view to full-time, leading to a Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology, with mentorship, PPE and access to modern tools throughout the program.

Qualifications

• School-Based Apprenticeship with path to full-time later.
• Commitment to learn and study at TAFE.
• Punctual, reliable and professionally presented at all times.
• Working towards a valid driver's licence.
• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assess the nature and extent of vehicle damage.
• Learn finishing techniques including filling and sanding of panel surfaces.
• Work on repairing metal, fibreglass and plastic bodyworks.

About the Automotive Body Repair (Panel Beating) School-Based Apprenticeship:

• Initially School-Based Apprenticeship, with the intention to go Full Time afterwards - working towards a Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology
• Determine the nature and extent of damage sustained to a vehicle
• Learn finishing techniques including filling and sanding of panel surfaces
• Work using latest techniques for repairing metal, fibreglass and plastic bodyworks of vehicles
