Job summary

ROLLER in Melbourne is seeking an engineer to join the Product and Engineering team, taking ownership of meaningful customer problems from discovery through delivery across backend and frontend.

You will collaborate with product managers and engineers to design, implement and iterate features, building APIs and integrations, while focusing on security, reliability and maintainability as the platform scales. This role requires onsite presence at our South Melbourne office three days per week.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of professional software-engineering experience.
• Strong full stack experience across backend services and frontend interfaces.
• Track record building and operating APIs or transactional product systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain secure, scalable software across the stack.
• Develop APIs and integrations across the platform and build user-facing features.
• Take features from discovery through design, implementation, release and iteration.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve reliability as the platform scales.
• Contribute to design discussions and code reviews.
• Connect technical decisions to customer and business outcomes.
