Job summary

ROLLER is hiring a Product Engineer, Full Stack to join our Melbourne-based Product and Engineering team. You will work across the stack on capabilities at the heart of our platform, including APIs, payments, integrations, reporting, and optimisations for reliability and scale.

You will design and deliver features from discovery to deployment, collaborating with product managers and engineers to balance speed, security and maintainability. This on-site role requires three days in South Melbourne.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of professional software‑engineering experience.
• Strong full stack experience across backend and frontend.
• Experience building and operating APIs, services or transactional product systems in a SaaS environment.
• Solid fundamentals in data modeling, testing, security, performance and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain secure, scalable software across the stack, from backend services to the interfaces operators and guests use daily.
• Develop APIs and integrations across ROLLER's platform, and build user-facing features using our design system and component library.
• Take features from discovery through technical design, implementation, release and iteration, collaborating with product and engineering teammates.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve reliability, performance, observability and maintainability as the platform scales.
• Contribute to design discussions and code reviews, helping teammates improve with candor and collaboration.
• Connect technical decisions to customer and business outcomes.
