Job summary

Ampcontrol is seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Queensland Service team to deliver high-voltage design, estimation, and project management across mining, infrastructure, utilities and renewables. You will apply your technical expertise to strengthen and grow our engineering capability in North Queensland.

The role requires a hands-on approach, 3–5 years in a similar role, and Electrical Engineering qualifications.

Qualifications

• Advanced Diploma or Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a mining or manufacturing environment.
• The ability to manage competing priorities across engineering design, project management, and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• HV electrical design, estimation, and project management.
• Deliver projects that transform how the industry operates.
• Contribute to strengthening and growing engineering capability in North Queensland.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As an Electrical Engineer within our QLD Service team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering projects that transform the way our industry operates. This is a role where meaningful impact is made every day. Through high-voltage (HV) electrical design, estimation, and project management, you will apply your technical expertise to strengthen and grow our engineering capability across the highly competitive North Queensland mining, utilities, and industrial sectors.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You bring a hands-on approach and thrive in a manufacturing environment, supported by the following:

• Advanced Diploma or Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering
• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a mining or manufacturing environment
• The ability to manage competing priorities across engineering design, project management, and contractual requirements

Your strong problem-solving skills, innovative mindset, and ability to think beyond conventional solutions will enable you to contribute fresh ideas and succeed in this role.
