Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Senior SAP Order Management and Materials Management consultant based in Sydney or Melbourne. The role requires Australian citizenship or permanent residency, with security clearance eligibility, and will focus on SAP SD/MM in PBS projects.

The position involves leading functional workstreams, guiding solution design, and delivering end-to-end SAP implementations within a large enterprise context.

Qualifications

• Functional resource with experience in SAP SD and MM
• 12+ years of project experience, including 4 full end-to-end implementation cycles
• Extensive experience with SAP S/4
• Strong ability to demonstrate deep functional knowledge of SAP S/4 SD
• Experience with SAP MM
• Proven ability to independently build and manage business stakeholder relationships
• Solid understanding of project methodologies and delivery phases
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience in functional lead and solution architect roles
• Experience in the Retail, Wholesale and/or FMCP

Responsibilities

• Understand client requirements, design solutions, configure SAP, and document specifications.
• Collaborate with clients on business requirements, solution design, and documentation.
• Provide expert functional and solution guidance to clients.
• Lead and align a functional workstream to ensure delivery quality and timely issue resolution.
• Direct project timelines and ensure adherence to schedules.
• Engage in detailed design and execution when required using SAP system expertise.
• Support business development activities including effort estimation and SoW development.

Your role

Capgemini's Package Based Solutions (PBS) business is a specialised practice focused on designing, implementing, and managing large-scale enterprise applications, with a strong emphasis on platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft, and Oracle.

As a Senior SAP Order Management and Material Management consultant, you will be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, ideally holding (or eligible to obtain) security clearance, and based in either Sydney or Melbourne.

Key role and responsibilities:

• Job responsibilities include working with clients to understand requirements, solutioning, system configuration and documentation.
• Collaborate with clients to understand business requirements, solution design, system configuration, and documentation.
• Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert functional and solution guidance.
• Provide direction to clients and functional teams on emerging capabilities, ensuring they are leveraged to deliver business value.
• Lead a functional workstream, ensuring delivery quality, timely issue resolution, and alignment with project timelines.
• Engage in detailed design and execution when required, applying leading-practice processes and SAP system expertise.
• Support business development activities, including effort estimation, Statement of Work (SoW) development, and presenting to client stakeholders.
