Job summary

Canberra Consulting is seeking a SAP Software Engineer to support development, testing, and maintenance of software for a major Australian Government agency. The role offers APS5 level responsibilities within a collaborative delivery team and exposure to SAP S/4HANA, SAP UI5, ABAP, Angular and Node.js.

The position requires writing quality code, solving technical problems, and learning under guidance. Hybrid onsite work is available in Canberra, Brisbane or Melbourne with flexibility to align

Qualifications

Experience designing, coding, testing and modifying programs or scripts.
Ability to apply development standards and tools to deliver quality software.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

Develop software and technical designs for moderately complex solutions.
Write, test, document and refactor code according to standards.
Support requirements analysis, solution design, prototyping and unit testing.
Maintain existing applications and assist with issue investigation and resolution.
Provide go-live support and ongoing maintenance.
Review own work for quality and maintainability.
Escalate technical issues, risks and dependencies as needed.
Manage workload to meet priorities and delivery timeframes.
Contribute to technical documentation, planning and project delivery.
