Job summary

Programmed is seeking reliable Sanitation / Production Packers with forklift license to join a busy food manufacturing facility. This casual ongoing role is ideal for candidates with a food production background who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced environment.

Early morning shifts with a 1:00am–6:00am window, Monday to Friday, offer 3–5 shifts per week. Successful applicants will split time between sanitation and production packing duties, initially familiarising themselves with the facility

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food production/manufacturing is preferred.
• Ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable attendance and good work ethic.
• Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.
• Basic forklift experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Move bins throughout the facility.
• Clean and sanitise production equipment and machinery.
• Use approved cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
• Disassemble and clean silos and production equipment.
• Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards.
• Assist on packing lines as required.
• Pack products from conveyors into boxes and tote bins.
• Monitor product quality and presentation.
• Feed materials into production lines.
• Work with teammates to meet production targets.
• Palletise products as needed.
• General production and housekeeping duties.

About the Role

This position combines sanitation and production packing duties within a food manufacturing environment.

Successful applicants will initially assist in becoming familiar with the facility before progressing into sanitation and packing tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Sanitation Duties

• Moving bins throughout the facility
• Cleaning and sanitising production equipment and machinery
• Using approved cleaning chemicals safely and effectively
• Disassembling and cleaning silos and production equipment
• Maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
• Assisting on packing lines as required

Production & Packing Duties

• Packing products from conveyor lines into boxes and tote bins
• Monitoring product quality and presentation
• Feeding materials into production lines
• Working alongside team members to meet production targets
• Palletising products where required
• General production and housekeeping duties

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment
• Ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
• A strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Physical fitness to undertake manual handling tasks
• Basic forklift experience highly regarded
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Site Requirements

For food safety and hygiene compliance, all employees must:

• Wear clean steel-capped boots
• Bring their own safety glasses
• Complete site inductions prior to commencing
• Wear hair nets, beard nets (where applicable) and hearing protection at all times
• Adhere to site grooming and hygiene requirements, including:
  • No jewellery
  • No false eyelashes
  • No fake nails

Site uniforms, including pants and jumpers, will be provided.
