Job summary

ALS in Orange, NSW is seeking multiple Sample Preparers to join our Geochemistry site on a casual/full-time basis. You will operate sample preparation equipment, crush and sieve mineral samples, and support laboratory analysis in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role requires physical fitness, willingness to work rotating rosters, attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures and safety rules in dusty conditions with respirator use. Relocation to Orange NSW may be needed.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work full-time hours and full rotating rosters.
• Excellent attention to detail and reliability.
• Willingness to work in a dusty environment and wear a respirator.
• Physically fit and able to perform repetitive manual handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate sample preparation equipment according to procedures.
• Sort and label samples, record weights in the Gems interface.
• Crush, riffle, split and sieve samples as directed.
• Transfer scanned samples to drying racks and manage storage.
• Operate pulverising mills to meet end-product specifications.
• Inform supervisor of any equipment or process issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area.
