We are currently seeking multiple individuals to join our teams at our Geochemistry site in Canning Vale. We are looking for dedicated Sample Preparers to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting our many mining and exploration clients across Western Australia.
As a Sample Preparer, you will be working in a warehouse operating machinery to crush, split, and pulverize mineral samples for laboratory analysis. Please note that this is a physically demanding role in a dusty work environment, so previous production experience and flexibility with availability would be highly advantageous. While this is a Casual role, you MUST be available to work full‑time hours from Monday to Friday and MUST be willing to work on a fortnightly rotating shift schedule — 2 weeks of day shift, 2 weeks of afternoon shift and 2 weeks of night shift. The role also involves working in a dusty environment where wearing a half‑face respirator is mandatory, and to ensure a proper seal, you must be clean‑shaven. There are opportunities for multi‑skilling within the department, including progression towards more complex roles in sample preparation, administration, supervisory, and laboratory positions.
The ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world. Our values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence. At ALS, you’ll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential. We invest in our people with programs and opportunities that help you build a diverse career with us. We want everyone to have a safe, flexible and rewarding career that makes a positive impact on our people, the planet and our communities. Everyone Matters ALS is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fostering an inclusive work environment where the strengths and perspectives of each employee are both recognised and valued. ALS also welcomes applications from people with all levels of ability. Reasonable adjustments to support candidates throughout the recruitment process are available upon request.
To be eligible to work at ALS you must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of the country you are applying for, or either hold or be able to obtain, a valid working visa.
