Job summary

Team Global Express in Melbourne Airport is seeking a Freight Coordinator / Same Day Consultant to join a busy, permanent full-time team. You will coordinate urgent freight movements across Same Day and Premium Services, working with customers, drivers and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery with high service standards.

This hands-on role requires strong organisation, clear communication and proactive problem-solving, with responsibilities from bookings to delivery, quotes to service

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics or fast-paced operations is preferred.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Same Day and Premium Services freight movements from booking through to delivery.
• Allocate and coordinate jobs with drivers, subcontractors and service providers.
• Monitor freight movements and manage delivery performance.
• Provide timely updates to customers and stakeholders across the delivery process.
• Handle customer enquiries via phone and email and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure POD and documentation are completed.
