Job summary

Safe Transport Victoria is seeking a dedicated Tester reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategy & Architecture, to design, develop and test application and data interfaces for ST Vic Salesforce platforms and connected systems.

The role emphasizes delivering test plans, overseeing testing levels, driving automated coverage, SIT/UAT defect triage, and contributing to go-live readiness in a structured government setting.

Qualifications

• ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst or Advanced Test Manager required.
• Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder required.
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• Agile or Scrum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver test plans and strategies aligned to business use cases and technical requirements.
• Oversee unit, integration, and end-to-end testing; select and govern test frameworks.
• Own the automated test coverage strategy; identify and retire ineffective tests, and report on coverage gaps to leadership.
• Lead the build and maintenance of test suites and sets the standards for test data review.
• Lead SIT/UAT defect triage and severity assessment, chairing defect review forums.
• Contribute to go-live readiness assessment, rollback plans, hypercare support and go/no-go recommendation to customer leadership.
