Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking a Salesforce Developer (OmniStudio/Vlocity) for a long-term contract with a federal government client. Hybrid work with three days in-office across Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne, Geelong or Surry Hills.

You’ll develop with Apex, LWC, OmniStudio and integrate via REST APIs and Platform Events. The role requires 3–5 years in Salesforce Vlocity/OmniStudio, OOP and DevOps, with certifications a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Salesforce Vlocity/OmniStudio development with Apex, LWC, OmniScripts, FlexCards and DataRaptors.
• Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP), software frameworks and design patterns.
• Experience with GitLab, package-based development, Jira, VS Code and DevOps practices.
• Experience with REST APIs and Salesforce Platform Events.
• Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Community Cloud.
• Understanding Governor Limits and best practices for efficient development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Salesforce capabilities using Apex, LWC and OmniStudio tools.
• Contribute to AI-assisted development using Claude Code within Salesforce.
• Develop and maintain integrations using REST APIs and Platform Events.
• Work with GitLab, Bitbucket and GitHub, including package-based development.

• Support Salesforce development, testing, version control and DevOps practices.

About the Role:

Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Salesforce Developer (OmniStudio/Vlocity) to join its Digital team. This is a long-term contract role for an initial 12 months, with the option to extend for a further 12 months, located in Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne, Geelong or Surry Hills. The role offers hybrid working arrangements, with a minimum of three days per week in the office and flexibility for the remaining two days, subject to agreement with the line manager and current client policy.

As the selected candidate, you will:

• Develop and enhance Salesforce capabilities using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC) and OmniStudio tools.
• Contribute to establishing AI-assisted development capabilities using Claude Code within Salesforce development.
• Develop and maintain integrations using REST APIs, Salesforce Platform Events and related integration technologies.
• Work with source control tools such as GitLab, Bitbucket and GitHub, including package-based development practices.
• Collaborate with the team using Atlassian Jira and Agile development tools.
• Support Salesforce development, testing, version control and DevOps practices to deliver reliable and maintainable solutions.
• Apply accessible design and development principles to create inclusive digital experiences.

To be successful in this role you should have:

• 3–5 years of hands-on Salesforce Vlocity/OmniStudio development experience, particularly with Apex, LWC, OmniScripts, FlexCards, Integration Procedures and DataRaptors.
• Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP), software frameworks and design patterns.
• Experience with source control tools such as GitLab, package-based development, Atlassian Jira, VS Code and DevOps practices.
• Demonstrated experience developing and working with integrations, including REST APIs and Salesforce Platform Events.
• Experience implementing Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Community Cloud solutions.
• A sound understanding of Salesforce Governor Limits and best practices for efficient development.

It is desirable if you have:

• Successfully delivered three or more Salesforce platform-based CRM projects using Agile methodologies.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II or OmniStudio Developer certifications.
• Demonstrable experience with AI technologies, including configuration and customisation.
• An interest in accessibility and a commitment to inclusive design and development practices.

Due to security and eligibility requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens and must be able to obtain a Baseline security clearance.
