Job summary

XPT Software in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud Architect to design scalable eCommerce solutions for clients. You will lead technical architecture, integrations, and solution design, with exposure to Agentic Commerce and MACH concepts where relevant.

The role emphasizes hands-on SFCC, SFRA, and API-heavy delivery, across storefronts, back-end integrations, and performance optimisations. Collaboration with analysts, product, and UX teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud (SFCC/Demandware).
• Strong knowledge of SFRA, JavaScript, ISML, SCSS/LESS, and Node.js.
• Experience with OCAPI/SCAPI, REST/SOAP APIs, and third‑party integrations.
• Good understanding of eCommerce processes including catalog, pricing, promotions, checkout, and order management.
• Experience designing scalable and high‑performing eCommerce solutions.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and solution-design skills.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end eCommerce solutions and technical architecture using SFCC/Demandware.
• Provide technical leadership across SFRA/SiteGenesis storefronts, integrations, and customisation.
• Oversee integrations between SFCC and OMS, ERP, PIM, payment gateways, CDP, and other systems using SCAPI/OCAPI and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Translate business requirements into scalable SFCC solutions.
• Guide development teams on architecture, coding standards, and best practices.
• Contribute to headless and composable commerce solutions as needed.
• Provide guidance on Agentic Commerce including AI shopping assistants and AI-driven experiences.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product, UX, QA, and other teams to deliver solutions.
• Review solutions and code for performance, security, and quality.
• Support production issues and platform optimisation.
• Stay updated with emerging eCommerce, Salesforce, and AI technologies.

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Architect to design and deliver scalable eCommerce solutions for our clients/business. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on SFCC experience along with the ability to lead technical architecture, integrations, and solution design. Exposure to Agentic Commerce, Adobe Commerce/AEM, or Sitecore will be an advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and define end-to-end eCommerce solutions and technical architecture using Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC/Demandware).
• Provide technical leadership across SFRA/SiteGenesis, storefront development, integrations, and customisation.
• Design and oversee integrations between SFCC and OMS, ERP, PIM, payment gateways, CDP, and other third-party systems using SCAPI/OCAPI and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable SFCC solutions.
• Guide development teams on architecture, coding standards, best practices, and technical decisions.
• Contribute to headless and composable commerce solutions where required.
• Provide technical guidance on Agentic Commerce, including AI shopping assistants, conversational commerce, and AI-driven commerce experiences.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Product, UX, QA, and other technical teams to deliver solutions.

• Stay current with emerging eCommerce, Salesforce, and AI/Agentic Commerce technologies.
