Job summary

XPT Software Australia is seeking an experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Developer/Consultant to design, build, and optimise scalable eCommerce solutions for clients. Melbourne or Sydney-based, with opportunities across industries.

You'll work on SFCC (SFRA/ISML/JS), integrate with third-party systems, and explore Agentic Commerce concepts and other headless/composable architectures. Strong collaboration across cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on SFCC/Demandware experience required.
• Proficiency in SFRA, JavaScript, ISML, SCSS/LESS, and Node.js.
• Experience with OCAPI/SCAPI and REST/SOAP integrations.
• Understanding of eCommerce processes: catalog, pricing, checkout, orders.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile/Scrum delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end SFCC eCommerce solutions (SFRA/SiteGenesis).
• Build/storefront features, cartridges, controllers, and templates (ISML/JS/SCSS).
• Integrate SFCC with OMS, ERP, PIM, and payment gateways via APIs.
• Contribute to Agentic Commerce capabilities and AI-driven workflows.
• Support composable architectures using Adobe Commerce or Sitecore where applicable.
• Collaborate with UX/QA/BA/Product teams to translate requirements.
• Optimise performance, scalability, and SEO across platforms.
• Participate in CI/CD, code reviews, and best-practice adherence.

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Developer/Consultant to design, build, and optimise scalable eCommerce solutions for our clients/business. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on SFCC expertise, with a growing interest or experience in Agentic Commerce (AI-driven, autonomous shopping experiences and agent-based commerce workflows), and exposure to Adobe Commerce/Experience Cloud or Sitecore platforms. This role is based in Melbourne or Sydney, offering the opportunity to work on high-impact digital commerce transformation projects across diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement end-to-end eCommerce solutions on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC / Demandware), including SFRA and/or SiteGenesis architectures.
• Build and customise storefront features, cartridges, controllers, and templates (ISML, JavaScript, SCSS).
• Integrate SFCC with third-party systems (OMS, ERP, PIM, Payment Gateways, CDP) via SCAPI/OCAPI and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of Agentic Commerce capabilities - AI agents, conversational commerce, autonomous shopping assistants, and integration with LLM-driven commerce experiences.
• Support solutioning and delivery of composable commerce architectures, leveraging Adobe Commerce/Experience Manager or Sitecore where relevant.
• Collaborate with UX, QA, Business Analysts, and Product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Optimise site performance, scalability, and SEO across commerce platforms.
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipeline management, and adherence to best practices/coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring platform stability and uptime.
• Stay current with emerging commerce technologies, particularly AI/agentic commerce trends, and provide recommendations to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud (SFCC/Demandware).
• Strong proficiency in SFRA, JavaScript, ISML, SCSS/LESS, and Node.js.
• Experience with OCAPI/SCAPI, REST/SOAP web services, and third-party system integrations.
• Solid understanding of eCommerce business processes: catalog, pricing, promotions, checkout, and order management.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD tools, and Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred / Nice-to-have Skills

• Exposure to Agentic Commerce concepts - AI shopping agents, autonomous checkout flows, conversational commerce, or integration with LLM/AI-driven commerce tools.
• Experience with Adobe Commerce (Magento) / Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or Sitecore (OrderCloud/XM Cloud) platforms.
• Familiarity with headless/composable commerce architecture (MACH principles).
• Salesforce Commerce Cloud certifications (e.g., B2C Commerce Developer, Architect).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of PWA Kit / React-based storefronts.
